Interoperability is a prominent topic at HIMSS 2024

HIMSS partnered with IHE Catalyst to present an Interoperability Demonstration at the HIMSS 2024 European Health Conference and Exhibition, scheduled for May 29-31. The objective is to provide a variety of stakeholders, such as suppliers and EU projects, with a platform to demonstrate their solutions in a people-centered scenario that highlights services and activities that support better outcomes through interoperable, standards-based health information technology systems, platforms, and frameworks.

The HIMSS24 Europe conference will also have an area dedicated to Data and Interoperability.

“On this 10-year anniversary of the creation of FAIR data principles, let's see how we are achieving 'Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reuseable' across the EU region,” said Lisa Thomlinson, Senior Director of Programming and Content at HIMSS EMEA. “We will be talking about exemplary cross-border collaborations and legislation, such as the European Health Data Space, the International Patient Summary, EEHRxF, and the Global Digital Health Certification Network, and we will question how data insights, greater interoperability, EHRs and HIEs, and regulation are allowing or preventing greater integration of care into the health ecosystem.”

🔗 Interoperability becomes prominent and receives notoriety in order to find viable alternatives for improving systems. In Brazil, our commitment is to act as an interoperable platform, allowing the integration of different health information systems and technologies, thus ensuring the accessibility and reuse of data in an efficient manner. In addition, CarenApp facilitates collaboration between health professionals and patients, promoting available health services and offering support for a patient-centered approach.
